SVD / Tigr and Tigr-01
What an amazing, rare opportunity. SVD/TIGR semi-automatic Snipers Rifle We have had these rifles manufactured specifically to conform to the SVD specifications and yet be acceptable as a Category A License in New Zealand – yes, you DO NOT have to have a Military styled Semi-automatic Licence to own this. Since their introduction in the mid 1960’s, these rifles have earned a justifiable reputation as accurate and robust weapons. It is reported that the SPETNAZ took them to Vietnam and field tested them - coming back they remarked that they worked “very well”. These are still the weapon of choice in Chechnya. We offer two models to choose from – the TIGR and the TIGR-01. (This is pronounced TEEGAR in Russian., roll the “r”. The TIGR is finished in timber (Birch) and the TIGR-01 is a fully polymer finish with a retractable cheek-piece. All weapons come with their individual test certificates including evidence of their accuracy – factory tested over open sights. Typically, 40mm to 60mm maximum spread of 12 rounds fired at 100 metres with open iron sights. Anecdotal evidence suggests that accuracy with optics is in the range of three quarters to one and a half minutes. It all depends where your one came off the assembly line and who put it together. The weapons are flushed and corrosion protected for three years after manufacture in accordance with their attached certificate. What you get Sights: A PO6x36 snipers telescopic sight, with side mounting bracket, windage and range adjustment (out to 2200 metres!). An illuminated reticule for night and twilight shooting, a rubber eyepiece extension to keep wind blown rubbish out of your eyes and an amber (removable) filter for reducing the effects of camouflage (the deer standing in the tussock – or the shooter in camo gear!), and to reduce sun blinding on the tops or at low levels of the sun. Guaranteed operation between minus 40 and plus 40 degrees centigrade. Range stadia with two ranges based on 1.7 metres (the height of a man – or the height of a Red deer’s head) and 2.7 metres (the height of the eaves of a house) for accurate range assessment. Robust metal construction. Each PO6x36 sight comes with it’s own camouflaged carry bag, amber filter, rubber eye shield, integral side mounting bracket with quick fix/release and extendable sun shield. Buy some infamy. These are great bargains. Read THE SNIPER’S RIFLE WITH HISTORY More information from http://kalashnikov.guns.ru/manual/english/svd Trade/retail and bulk purchases welcome. |
